The Terz guitar is a short scale guitar that is tuned up a minor third above standard tuning and has a higher voice that will work well played along with a standard guitar. The scale length is around 545mm which is about the length from the third fret to the saddle on a 650mm scale. This means that it can be tuned up a minor third with the same strings and string tension that you would use on a full scale guitar. For the body I use a reduced Pavilion shape that is 340mm across the lower bout. It is possible to use quite a deep body to make the sound a little fuller than if the depth were reduced in proportion to the width.
