Electric

Since the age of 15 I have been a passionate player of the electric guitar and I enjoy building these instruments, applying my understanding of resonating wood to electric instruments.

Currently I have a single body shape - the Obelisk - which is related to my acoustic shapes, with the Sweep cutaway. This body shape is like a canvas within which which many diverse features can be incorporated. It can be solid, chambered or semi acoustic where the body is constructed of thin plates for the top and back with bent sides, like an acoustic but with a solid centre block. Many pickup configurations are possible and I often wind my own pickups as well as sourcing hand-wound pickups from some of the top makers. Again hardware is an open door and there are many options to choose from.

I finish my electrics in Osmo oil which gives a beautiful satin sheen that is hard wearing - this finish is designed for wooden floors - and tactile.
