Pergola

The Pergola is the smallest of my regular models with standard scale length. The lower bout has a width of 360mm and is based on a circle with the bridge at its centre. This is a very efficient location to drive the soundboard from and makes for a powerful and punchy guitar. The standard scale length is 650mm  (25.6”) but using a shorter scale of 632mm (24.9”) with its reduced string tension lends a real sweetness to the sound. Normally this model is a 12 frets-to-the body guitar but I also build a Sweep cutaway version which greatly increases the upper fret access.
