luthier
for sale
The following are what I have in stock for sale at the moment. You are welcome to visit me in Lincoln, England by appointment to try the guitars. I have guitars in some shops: a couple of steel strings are at Schoenberg Guitars in Tiburon just north of San Francisco.

Pavilion
Sitka spruce top with incredible bearclaw figure figure. Back and sides are Madagascar rosewood, again with wonderful figure reminiscent of some of the best Brazilian rosewood. The Madagascar rosewood also has tonal qualities comparable with Brazilian. The neck is a lovely piece of reclaimed Honduras mahogany that is several decades old and consequently is very stable. This guitar has a bold and full sound with crisp top end and tight bass. The neck has adjustable pitch via an allen key in the head block. A small turn here can make a good difference to the action.

Arbour
Soundboard: western red cedar. Back and sides: Indian rosewood. Neck: reclaimed Honduras mahogany. I've been using this as a demo guitar for a couple of years and I've just re-finished the top and re-voiced the back. The guitar has a fine tone that is sensitive to fingerpicking and it is great for celtic-type playing. The sound does have a good solid depth thanks to the rosewood back.
price £ 1800 complete with Hiscox case

Soprano ukulele
Made entirely from reclaimed woods. Soundbox is old Honduras mahogany from drawer-bottoms; neck is Honduras mahogany from an old window frame; fingerboard and bridge are wenge from old flooring. The finish is Tru-oil lending the instrument a nice tactile feel.
price £375 with soft bag
